Choosing a Device

Red Light Mat vs. Panel: Which Format Fits Your Routine?

A mat usually fits people who want broad coverage while lying down and need a device that can be folded away. A panel usually fits people who prefer standing or sitting upright and have room for a fixed setup. Neither format is universally better; posture, coverage, storage, distance, and routine consistency are the practical decision points.

01

Start with posture

Mats support a lie-down routine. Panels support an upright routine at a chosen distance. That difference changes what you can comfortably do during the session and how much setup the device needs.

If lying down helps you protect a quiet block of time, a mat may fit. If you prefer a standing or seated setup and do not want contact with the device, a panel may fit.

02

Compare coverage and repositioning

A full-size mat can cover a broad area at once. A panel can also cover a broad area, but coverage depends on panel dimensions, distance, and body position. Smaller panels and targeted wearables generally require more deliberate positioning.

Coverage claims should be based on physical dimensions and actual use, not a promise that a larger illuminated area creates a particular outcome.

03

Compare space and storage

A foldable mat needs a flat surface during use and storage space afterward. A panel needs a stable location, clearance, and a repeatable user position. Portability depends on the actual product size and weight.

Use Find Your Routine to compare these tradeoffs. It may recommend a format rePretty does not sell yet, in which case the result remains educational and does not create a purchase button.
