Our Story
Life sped up. I needed a way to slow down.
A personal search for comfort became a mission to make high-quality red light easier for more people to use in everyday life.
I started rePretty in 2024, in the years following the COVID-19 pandemic, when an old leg injury continued to make itself known and restful sleep was getting harder to find.
At the same time, AI was transforming the way we work almost overnight. I was excited by the possibilities, but I also felt the pressure to keep up. Even after the laptop closed, my mind stayed at work.
Medication was difficult to tolerate. After speaking with my doctor and hearing a friend’s recommendation, I began exploring red light therapy.
What stayed with me was not another promise or performance target. It was the pause: a few quiet minutes without catching up, optimizing, or proving anything. I did not need another task. I needed a way to stop.
I started with a full-size mat because I wanted the experience to feel broad, simple, and unbound. That first product became the beginning of a larger mission.
